AP TDP President Atchennaidu appointed in-charges for two more seats of Andhra Pradesh. Former IAS Ramanjaneyulu was appointed as in-charge for Prathipadu while R Madhavi Reddy was appointed as in-charge of Kadapa district.
It looks like Chandrababu Naidu is going to field R Madhavi Reddy as the Kadapa Assembly candidate.
Madhavi Reddy is the wife of R Srinivasa Reddy whose father R Rajagopal Reddy previously worked as a Minister. He used to take on Late YSR in Kadapa.
Srinivasa Reddy also contested against the YS family in the Kadapa Parliament. He was also the TDP candidate against MP Avinash Reddy. His wife Madhavi Reddy will take on Deputy CM Amjad Basha in the coming election.
In 2019, TDP tried a minority candidate against Amjad Basha but lost the seat with a record majority of about 55K votes. This time TDP is banking on a Reddy and Woman sentiment to win the seat at any cost.
This will be the third election for Amjad Basha and he is battling severe anti-incumbency in his constituency.
