Ghanpur Station MLA Kadiyam Srihari, who defected from BRS and now plans to formally join the Congress party, took a sharp jab at KTR. He made his remarks as he faced the media with a Congress banner behind him.
Srihari hit back at KTR for challenging him to resign. He claimed he entered politics on his own, not through family influence. He said he built his career without using his father’s name or political backing.
He questioned KTR’s ethics about past defections to BRS. You are reminded that 36 MLAs from other parties joined BRS earlier. Srihari pointed out that two of them even became ministers during KCR’s rule.
Kadiyam then targeted KTR’s leadership directly. He claimed that KTR’s own sister Kavitha distanced herself due to his lack of capability. He also alleged that Harish Rao privately expressed frustration over KTR’s leadership skills.
Calling KTR an “iron leg,” Kadiyam said this was the reason Kavitha left the party. Kadiyam asked KTR what his identity would be without KCR. His attack focused on leadership failure rather than policy.
Though Kadiyam is still not officially inducted into Congress, you see him seated under its banner already. Political observers say KCR’s illness has weakened BRS. Taking the opportunity, former party members are speaking openly against the leadership.
