In a stunning turn of events in the Kamareddy assembly constituency of Telangana, BJP’s Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy, initially considered an underdog, clinched victory against giant opponents—K Chandrashekar Rao of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and A Revanth Reddy, the state Congress chief.
Tensions escalated in recent months as both KTR and KCR publicly insulted Reddy, seemingly underestimating the BJP contender despite his party’s prominence.
KTR on a public platform acted as if he didn’t know who Reddy was. He also made sarcastic remarks which fueled the candidate’s determination.
Venkata Ramana Reddy, undeterred by the provocations, challenged CM KCR and said he would defeat KCR in the elections. He asserted his intention to etch his name in KCR and KTR’s memory, vowing that they would remember him until their last breath.
Now, after the election results, it’s clear that KCR and KTR won’t forget Venkata Ramana Reddy in their life, who defeated their party convincingly.
This victory shows that underestimating opponents and being arrogant can backfire. As they say Karma is a bi*ch.
