In ancient days, Indian Kings would do Ashvamedha Yagam to prove their imperial sovereignty: a horse accompanied by the king’s warriors would be released to wander for a period of one year. In the territory traversed by the horse, everything comes under the King’s sovereignty unless any rivals dispute the authority.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao seems to be conducting similar Yagam even though not with the name. KCR just delivered the biggest electoral victory in the recent Assembly Elections. Now, the Chief Minister is gearing to conduct the Local Body Elections. Panchayat Elections will happen in January.
After that, Municipal Elections will happen in February. Plans are also to conduct co-operative elections at the earliest. KCR wants to complete these elections and emerge victorious before the Lok Sabha Elections which will ensure that TRS will win 16 MP seats along with One Seat to MIM (Hyderabad).
Just like in the case of the Assembly Elections, KCR is keen on making use of the Unpreparedness of the Opposition for all these elections. Along with the unpreparedness, the Opposition is in a massive shock following the defeat in the Assembly Elections. If everything happens to the plan, it will be TRS all over from the micro-roots level to the Top.
