Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is addressing a series of public meetings on his to be formed Farmer Coordination Committees. In a meeting earlier on Monday, KCR lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his policies on farmers like never before in the recent times. He referred to how Modi paid no heed to advices on linking agriculture to NREGA Scheme.

On this occasion, KCR said something like this ‘Pradhani Modi Gaadiki Chala Sarlu Cheppa Kaani Vinaledhu’. KCR also predicted a revolt of farmers on the government and also went on to say the committees he is forming in Telangana will lead such revolts. He also mentioned about how the Central government has done nothing or very little for the welfare of farmers in Telangana or the country.
This shift from KCR came as a surprise to everyone since the Telangana Chief Minister is seen cozy with the Central Government for the last couple of years. In fact, KCR brought down Modi to Telangana on quite a few occasions and inaugurated some key projects with him. Until a few months ago, media is speculating about TRS joining NDA and KCR’s daughter Kavita joining the Union Cabinet.
Political Experts say this seems to be a ploy to attract the minorities and shed any image of cozying with communal BJP ahead of the 2019 elections. Such an attack will also neutralize any possible Modi Wave as well if any. KCR is pretty sure that BJP will anyway comeback to him after 2019 elections if a need arises. So, we may even see KCR attacking Modi for stalling Muslim Reservations Bill.
