Telangana Assembly Speaker Madhusudhanachari suspended TDP MLAs – Revanth Reddy and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah for the remaining session. The government said that they deserved the punishment as they protested over the Governor’s Speech.

Interestingly, Congress MLAs also protested against the speech and staged a walkout. Some believe KCR do not want to spare Revanth Reddy for all those onslaughts on him and his government and others say KCR fears the presence of Revanth in the house and wants to curb the dissent by suspending him.
Congress also stood beside TDP (TS) on this issue. The Leader of Opposition, Jana Reddy questioned if there is any clause in the constitution that there should be no protest on Governor’s address. In the entire episode, one can not forget that Harish Rao who proposed this suspension is the one who used to be in the frontline for obstructing Governor’s address during Telangana Agitation days.
