The government had taken the project prestigiously and completed the project construction two months ahead of the schedule. The Chief Minister traveled all the way to Khammam by road to get a first-hand account of the situation in water-starved Khammam district, skipping the usual chopper ride to the venue.
Khammam district is the weakest for Telangana Rashtra Samiti since its inception. Only in 2014 elections, TRS opened its account here and then started growing strong in the district by encouraging defections. And now KCR is targeting to win the people there.
