Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is gearing up for one more initiative to develop Telangana sentiment in people of the state. The Chief Minister is planning special initiatives to popularize Telangana cuisines which were neglected during United State. Telangana Chief Minister is planning special incentives to hotels which will have Telangana cuisines on their menu.

The state government will give an incentive of 3 Lakhs per year for such hotels. International hotels which will sell Telangana cuisines will be given 10 Lakhs per year. The state government is also gearing up to conduct several competitions to select best cooks of Telangana cuisines and reward them handsomely.
The state government had appointed a committee to formulate these special incentives and other forms of promoting Telangana cuisines. Telangana government reportedly identified 260 Telangana native cuisines which were forgotten.
