On one hand, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is pleasing the Prime Minister Narendra Modi by inviting him for the inauguration but on the other side is trying to corner BJP politically ahead of the 2019 General elections.

We are already seeing publications in various Telugu media houses about the Prime Minister rejecting appointing for the CM to present memorandums to him on the classification of scheduled castes and the increase in reservation for Muslim minorities.
KCR is even planning a Dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi demanding that the state government should have the final say in deciding the reservations of that particular state. The CM is also planning to bring the demand for according National Status to Kaleshwaram Project after getting all permissions for the project.
KCR is planning to bring up the argument if Polavaram can get National Status why not Kaleshwaram Project. It is the costliest project in the history of Independent India as it will cost around 90000 Crore. KCR is looking to corner BJP in both these issues ahead of 2019.
