KCR working on Regional Front?

KCR-regional frontTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao seem to be having some serious ‘National’ ambitions. KCR is repeatedly saying that it will be Regional Parties all the way in 2019 elections with TRS likely to get a minimum of 15 MP seats. In a media interview, KCR also revealed that four National leaders have met him recently.

They reportedly put forth the idea of forming a national front of regional parties. The front will target winning 70-80 seats in the coming elections. KCR is confident that this front will dictate and decide who will be the Prime Minister of the country in 2019. With KCR saying this, there are rumours all over that the Telangana Chief Minister will go to snap polls and make his son, KTR as Chief Minister.

Handing over the reins to KTR, KCR is likely to concentrate on 2019 Parliament elections. Looks like KCR is banking heavily on Modi wave to subside by next elections so that BJP will depend on allies to form the government at the center.
