Kodi Kathi case is one of the most talked about political topics in Andhra Pradesh politics. It was staged right before the 2019 election and it has been in the news ever since.
Now, the NIA has made a very interesting comment in connection with the case as it came to hearing at the AP High Court.
The court asked the NIA to explain why there is a delay in the case and the pace of the investigation has dropped, NIA gave an interesting explanation.
“The investigation wasn’t slowed down because of the NIA itself. It was Jagan Mohan Reddy who appealed for a detailed investigation of the case and that is the reason why the NIA investigation was halted” the NIA replied.
Kodi Kathi case suspect Srinivasa Rao has been rotting in prison for the past 5 years with no substantial progress in the investigation. He has filed for bail at the High Court, which has come into investigation now.
The fact that the NIA itself has claimed that the whole investigation on the case has been halted due to Jagan himself speaks about the nature of the investigation that has been going on, commented a netizen.
