Konda Surekha to Face Criminal Case

Minister Konda Surekha got a big shock and KTR got relief on Saturday. The Nampally Court has directed that a criminal case be filed against her in the defamation case filed by BRS working president KTR.

The Court ordered that the criminal case must be filed before August 21, 2025, and a notice be issued to her. The Court agreed with complainant KTR that Minister Konda Surekha made baseless allegations against the former IT & MAUD minister.

The Court took note of the documentary evidence, testimonies and the argument of complainant before issuing the directive. Court noted the baseless comments made by Konda Surekha against KTR in phone tapping, drugs and actress Samantha divorce issues.

The Court is looking at the defamation case under BNS section 356. The Court also brushed aside the argument put forth by Konda Surekha’s counsel.

The Nampally Court totally agreed with the argument of KTR’s lawyer and ordered for a criminal case to be filed.

KTR had filed a Rs 100 crore defamation case against Konda Surekha in October, 2024.
