The dispute between the villagers of Rangampet of Chittoor district and actor Mohan Babu regarding the land is getting ugly. Villagers are accusing Mohan Babu’s men of trying to attack MPTC Bose Chandra Reddy and sub-sarpanch Monish.
The villagers found that six thugs were making a ruckus with petrol cans, knives, and sticks in Rangampet since night. They grabbed a young man named Hemant and beat him blue and black. Later he was handed over to the police.

On this occasion, MPTC Bose Chandra Reddy said that Mohan Babu is trying to get a dumping yard site for Vidyaniketan institutions in 35 cents of land in Nagapatnam survey number 10/2.
“We told them the land can be given only after a resolution is passed in the Gram Sabha. Since the land belongs to the village, the villagers have decided not to give that land. Since then, they held a grudge against me,” Bose Chandra Reddy told.

“They had tried to attack them once in the past. We wanted to file a complaint then itself but elders asked us to be patient, so we backed down. They are trying to attack us as they suspect we are preventing them from getting those lands,” he added.
Bose Chandra Reddy said that a man named Hemant wearing a mask came to their house and threatened them with a knife. However, seeing the huge number of people in the apartment, he fled the scene. The MPTC says that his life is in danger because of Mohan Babu, PRO Satish, and Sunil Chakravarthy. He demanded police to provide them protection.
