Maintain Status-Quo on APNGOs land – High Court!

Hyderabad High Court has ordered the government officials to maintain status quo on the lands of APNGOs in Gopannapally. The court ordered Telangana government to file a counter in 4 weeks time. It is known that the officials have taken back 189 plus Acres lands last week on the orders of Telangana government forcing APNGOs to knock the doors of high court.

In 1992, then Congress government led by Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy under a single GO granted 477 acres land to four Housing societies set up for APNGOs, TNGOS, AP Secretariat Employees and High Court employees. After the state division, Telangana government resorted to taking back lands of APNGOs saying that the lands are unused. But APNGOs say that the lands are left unused due to ongoing legal controversies.
