A man was arrested after he threatened to shoot people in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, US. In growing cases of gun violence, the man identified as Zyshon Murphy, 22, posted a video threatening to shoot multiple people in downtown Fort Worth on May 7.
The video has gone viral and the man showed a shotgun and made threats to the police as per a video re-shared by multiple users on social media. The police immediately went into action and multiple units investigated and obtained an arrest warrant for the person in question.
The suspect was located and arrested later. Though the police did not release his name, the man’s jail records revealed his name. Murphy was finally arrested on a felony count of terroristic threats for putting the public or a group in fear.
It is not immediately clear if Murphy has an attorney. While the police are not divulging too many details, the video was screen-recorded by many users and shared with warnings. The man said, “May 7, 3 pm is YALL DEATH DAY SO DONT BE IN DOWNTOWN. YALL GOIN HAVE 2 KILL ME CUZ YALL GETTING KILLED FOR SHURE.”
He further said, “I hate all of you. I want you all dead and I’m going to make sure that happens this Sunday.” Murphy was planning to kill random people. The investigation is in process and more details are awaited.
