TBJP had a satisfactory performance during the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls. However, in the panchayat and ZPTC elections, they did not meet their target.

One of the main reasons is the infighting between the TBJP leaders. In fact, all the leaders think they are more important than the other. Each of them, be it Bandi Sanjay, Kishan Reddy, Aravind Dharmapuri, Eatala maintain their own coteries and do not see eye to eye with each other.

A few months back, Modi called a meeting of TBJP MPs and warned them of infighting and asked them to work together. But nothing changed after that. The cold war between TBJP leaders is continuing.

PM Modi’s visit is expected to boost the morale of BJP cadre in the state so that they work for victory in GHMC polls. Prior to 2023 Assembly elections, Amit Shah was in Hyderabad to meet with local leaders, trade leaders and important people and the result was visible. The TBJP is planning for a people’s meeting by the PM. While this may or may not happen, Modi is sure to meet various leaders.

Given Modi-Shah’s strategy for the rest of the country, all eyes are on Modi to put a check on the TBJP leaders.
