Late Harikrishna’s Daughter, Suhasini contested for Kukatpally Assembly Segment in the recently concluded Telangana Elections and lost. She lost the election by more than 40000 votes. Suhasini who is politically novice struggled to speak confidently before the media and that has portrayed her as a weak candidate.

People have seen her as a dummy candidate who wants to become an MLA with sympathy factor and family name. That impacted her chances in the election. Everyone expected her to disappear after the election but surprisingly, Suhasini continues to be active in the constituency even after the defeat.
She has conducted a meeting of the party cadre one week after the election results and thanked them for working for her. Sources say that she is planning to open a party office in Kukatpally and regularly visit the constituency to stay in touch with the cadre and the electorate.
This is giving an indication that she is here to stay. Rumours are rife that if she will be trying her luck in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. Buzz is that she may want to contest for Malkajgiri Parliament Segment. In 2014, TDP candidate Mallareddy won comfortably from there and later joined TRS. But then, things have changed drastically since then and it is not easy to win from Malkajgiri.
