O Paneerselvam’s Revolt on Sasikala‘s faction popularly called Mannargudi Mafia came as a surprise to everyone as it was against his usual behavior. Immediately, after that O Paneerselvam was stripped off his Treasure post of AIADMK, a post which held for the last 10 years and the party’s primary membership.

Paneerselvam is likely to withdraw his resignation from the Governor but that means he will have to take a floor test to prove his majority. Going by the scenes last night, it looks like Sasikala has the support of the MLAs while OPS has the support of the people.
But Political Experts feel that OPS would not dare for a revolt unless he has a significant support of MLAs and the secret handholding of the Central Government. To establish Modi link, Governor CH Vidya Sagar Rao who was supposed to visit the state today postponed his visit, this is to ensure that O Paneerselvam will have enough time to garner the support.
