
The police are finding new developments in Perni Nani rice mafia case. The police have now found links between Perni Nani’s aid Manasteja and the rice mafia.
It has been found that large amounts of rice were diverted to rice mafia through small trucks from time to time with the permission of Nani.

Four fifty ration rice bags were bought by Nagayalanka mandal level government stock point in- charge P Nageswara Rao. Rao had filled the bags in place of rice that was unaccounted for.
Nageswara was on deputation when he diverted stocks and made money in the process.

Meanwhile, Nani’s driver Mangarao told the police that Nageswara Rao paid Rs 3.2 lakh in place of Rs 4.5 lakh.
The exchange happened in March-April last year. When confronted, Nageswara Rao refused to give up his post fearing action. However, the vigilance department came into picture and relieved him of his post and put him in jail for some time.

The latest to be arrested in rice mafia case is Matha Venkateswara Rao. He is said to have procured 450 kilos through Mangarao and rice miller Anjaneyulu. The rice was sold to fish ponds and the rice in Venkateswara Rao’s godown was adulterated and sold.
Kandula Bapuji who is known name in rice mafia bought 400 kilos of rice from Teja and sold it along with his rice.
Auto driver Gopisetti Nancharaih sold 400 kilos to Dokku Nagaraju through Nani’s lorry driver. The rice from Nani’s godown was diverted to five people through truck driver and rice miller Anjaneyulu.
The police now feel the whole deal happened between Aug-Sept. The police have found that all of them deposited money into Teja’s account.
Now the police are on the job to find out into whose account the mafia money finally went to, from Nani’s house.
