CBI court has issued a non-bailable warrant to IAS officer Srilakshmi. The CBI and ED court which is hearing Jagan’s cases have issued a non-bailable warrant against Srilakshmi. Srilakshmi, a senior IAS officer, is the accused in the Dalmia Cements case.
However, Srilakshmi and her lawyers were absent from the court for Thursday’s hearing. The angry court issued her a non-bailable warrant. The warrant was ordered to be executed by 30th of this month. Meanwhile, the CBI sought more time from the court to file counters on the discharge petitions filed by Jagan and Vijayasai Reddy.
Retired IAS G Venkat Ramireddy appeared in the CBI court in the Penna case. With this, the court recalled the NBW issued against Venkatarami Reddy. Rajya Sabha member Mopidevi Venkataramana and retired IRS officer Brahmananda Reddy did not appear in court for the Vanpic case.
Although the High Court had earlier granted exemption to the two earlier, the orders stated that they, however, would definitely have their lawyers present for the court hearings. The court clarified that if Mopidevi and Brahmananda Reddy’s lawyers continue to be absent, an appropriate order will be issued.
