Rayalaseema particularly Anantapur is known for drought and people migrating to Bengaluru to do petty works. Many of them are returning back with the hope of getting work in their native places itself with Chandrababu Naidu government concentrating on the district.

The government already brought the first Indian plant of South Korea’s Automobile Company, Kia Motors which will be making a whopping 10000 Crore investment and will provide 10000 Employment Opportunities. Several Ancillary Units are also coming around the plant.
On the other side, the government managed to rope in Jockey Innerwear new plant in Raptadu, Anantapur. The unit will manufacture sportswear of the brand, about 34.2 Million units per annum. In the first phase, it will provide 3000 direct employment opportunities.
Jockey will provide another 3000 employment opportunities in various stages. The government has allotted 30 acres of land for this unit and several other incentives. The unit will be operational from October 2018. These two industries will change the face of the drought-prone district for sure.
