The farming community had already been sustaining several problems, including unpredictable whether conditions, and also the inadequate market prices. Now the farmers in the agency region and are facing an age old problem of wildlife attacks.

Apparently, the farmers in the Manyam region of Vizianagaram district have appealed the government authorities to oversee the wild elephants problem in the area. They complained that wild elephants from Odisha have been entering these regions and damaging the crops.

This matter has reached the deputy chief minister, Pawan Kalyan and he immediately reacted to the same by sending the Kunki elephants for the task. These are specially trained elephants that are experts in handling wild elephants and mend them.

This pilot project originated in the Palamaner region of Chittoor District and Pawan Kalyan himself had flagged off the same back then. Now these specially trained elephants are being sent to the agency region in the district.

Pawan Kalyan personally took part in the inauguration activity as he fed the elephant sugar cane and flag off their mission to control the wild elephants that have been damaging the crops in the area.

Pawan Kalyan, who had recently undergone a shoulder surgery, took part in this inaugural activity at the Mangalagiri office. He is evidently on the administrative job, despite the physical limitations.

This thoughtful gesture from the deputy CM had been helping the local farmers across Andhra Pradesh in dealing with wildlife situations. Finally, Andhra Pradesh appears to have found a worthy forestry minister who also holds Panchayat Raj and R&B posts.
