Andhra Pradesh has achieved a massive milestone in digital learning by becoming the first state in India to implement the “Canva for Education” platform across all government schools.
The School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha entered into a landmark strategic partnership with the global visual design giant Canva to provide this world-class platform free of charge.
Championed by Human Resources Development and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh, this aggressive digital push is designed to bridge the technology gap, empowering lakhs of local students and teachers with cutting-edge visual communication, design, and presentation tools entirely free of cost.
This statewide rollout marks a major shift in how digital literacy is taught in public schools, moving beyond standard computer basics to cultivate creative problem-solving and modern workforce skills.
Teachers across the state will receive specialized training to integrate the platform into their daily lessons, allowing them to create interactive, visually engaging educational content.
By equipping government school classrooms with the same premium digital resources used by global professionals, the Andhra Pradesh government is taking a major step toward establishing the state as a dominant digital pioneer, ensuring that its students are fully prepared to compete in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
