Janasena President Pawan Kalyan contested from Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka constituencies in 2019 elections and lost from both the places. There are speculations that Pawan Kalyan will chose another constituency in the 2024 elections to contest.
Janasena Bhimavaram incharge, Kotikalapudi Govindha Rao, however, says that Pawan Kalyan will contest from Bhimavaram itself in 2024 elections also. “We took the defeat sportively. Other parties spent 100 Crore Rupees each to defeat him. We are fighting for the people and will win in 2024 for sure,” he said.
“If Pawan Kalyan wants to do politics with money, we would have won a decisive number of seats fielding the rich candidates. Problems we are facing today because we chose a path that is less traveled. We are sure he will win from Bhimavaram in 2024,” Govindha Rao added.
YSR Congress leader Grandhi Srinivas has defeated Pawan Kalyan in 2019 and became an MLA. Buzz in the district is that he will be given a cabinet berth in the next expansion of Jagan’s team.
