Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, the YSRCP leader who once ruled Chittoor district with complete control, is facing a different scenario compared with YS Jagan’s era. The political situation and even the YSRCP cadre in the Punganur segment have changed.
With the YSRCP losing power, many leaders in Punganur are ready to leave the party. Some have already joined TDP. There is talk that within a few days, no one might remain in Punganur YSRCP except Peddireddy and his son, MP Mithun Reddy.
The way Peddireddy behaved during the YSRCP regime is one reason for this exodus. Additionally, the cadre fears potential legal cases due to Peddireddy’s aggressive behavior. Now, cases are being registered against Peddireddy, and there is uncertainty about when he might be arrested.
Due to this, Peddireddy’s close leaders have told him that they cannot continue in YSRCP. It is rumored that Peddireddy is also contemplating this situation. In the past, there were reports that his son tried to join the BJP, but Peddireddy stopped these attempts.
There is a discussion in political circles that Peddireddy is focusing to change the political party on the way to get relief from these cases. There are reports he is contemplating joining Janasena.
Pawan Kalyan also made some critical comments on Peddireddy earlier. But at the same time, a strong leader joining Janasena may tempt him.
It has to be seen if Pawan Kalyan will be ready to admit him.
