The suit which Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore during his meeting with US President Barack Obama was initially drawing huge criticism as it has ‘Narendra Damodardas Modi’ monogrammed as pinstripes. Businessman Ramesh Virani, who lives abroad,gifted the suit to Modi on his son’s wedding.
Later Modi put the suit for auction and donated the amount to the cleaning of Ganga. Laljibhai Patel who bagged the suit is the co-founder of Diamond Aeronautics with three other businessmen, two diamantaires, and a real estate developer, He kept the suit in a glass cupboard in his diamond factory to serve as an “inspiration”.
