Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump is likely to grace the dais at the inaugural of the upcoming Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) at HICC later this month. But Protocol issues may affect them.

Modi holds a constitutional position, as per protocol, he would get security precedence over others at the event with the elite Special Protection Group (SPG) giving him close range protection. While Modi is on the stage, the other armed personnel should stay away.
On the other side, Ivanka has high security, especially close range cover, provided by American security agencies. But according to the protocol, her security could not be allowed on to the dais when Modi is on the same stage. A meeting between security agencies will happen on 7th to decide what happens that day.
