Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) had added one more feather in its cap. It has successfully launched its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C23 (PSLV-C23) this morning in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu. standing around 44.4 metres tall and weighing around 230 ton – tore into the bright morning skies with orange flames fiercely burning at its tail. It carried 714 kg French earth observation satellite SPOT-7 and four other small satellites viz: 14-kg AISAT of Germany; NLS7.1 (CAN-X4) and NLS7.2 (CAN-X5) from Canada each weighing 15 kg; and the 7-kg VELOX-1 of Singapore.

Narendra Modi and Chandra Babu clapped all the way to the four stages of the launch and later Modi described the success as a global endorsement of India’s space capability. Later he and Chandra Babu congratulated all the scientists who made this possible. with the success of this launch, ISRO is expected to get 47 Crores income.
