The Telangana Assembly elections kicked off on Saturday, and on the very first day, something intriguing happened. Raja Singh, who had recently resigned from the BJP, was spotted with BRS leader Harish Rao.
Before the session began, Raja Singh was seen walking through the lobby when BRS MLAs and MLCs approached from behind. Upon noticing Harish Rao, Raja Singh joined him, and they walked together. This simple act quickly became the talk of the town.
Raja Singh had resigned from the BJP recently and has been openly critical of the party’s state leadership. He particularly targeted Union Minister Kishan Reddy and Telangana BJP President Ramachandra Rao, accusing them of damaging the saffron party in Telangana.
There are widespread rumours suggesting that Raja Singh may be considering a move to Congress, BRS, TDP or Jana Sena. Interestingly, he has not completely ruled out the possibility of rejoining the BJP. In this context, his public appearance with Harish Rao has fueled further speculation, giving political gossipmongers plenty to talk about.
