Modi government seem to be in no hurry to affect the city’s change of name and so the airport and Railway Station of the town continues to be referred as Rajahmundry airport. Earlier this month, Modi government issued gazette notification about the name change of Bombay high court as Mumbai high court and Madras high court as Chennai high court.
But then even the state government officials do not understand why the center is sitting on the proposal of name change for the town of East Godavari. “Andhra Pradesh seem to be last priority for every thing,” locals crib about Modi government’s apathy.
