Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu filed a Recall Petition in Dharmabad Court to revoke the Non-Bailable Warrant served to him in the 2010 Babli Project Case. In the petition, Naidu brought to the notice of the court that it is a clear case of Political Vendetta and also he never received any summons or notices or warrant in this case so far.

After hearing the arguments of Chandrababu‘s lawyers, the judge agreed for the recall petition. In July 2010, Naidu led a team of 75 TDP leaders to Maharashtra constructed four projects on the Godavari near Babli Barrage in violation of the water-sharing agreement, leaving the Telangana dry.
While proceeding to Babli, Naidu and his men were detained at Dharmabad and told to return to Hyderabad. However, they staged a dharna leading to their arrest and custody at ITI in Dharmabad for two days, before being sent back to Hyderabad in a special aircraft.
