Social media has become a crucial platform for governance these days. Leaders who actively interact with the public on social media gain increased visibility among the present generation, indirectly boosting support from urban and younger voters.

Former IT Minister KT Rama Rao successfully utilised this strategy and made himself a strong image among youngsters and urban citizens.

When Congress came into power, there were doubts whether Revanth Reddy and his cabinet ministers could replicate KTR’s social media success, given their reputation as old-school and traditional politicians. However, Revanth Reddy has exceeded all expectations. Revanth and his office have been constantly active on social media and are trying to solve issues promptly.

Recently, a social activist reached out to Revanth on X, regarding a critical situation involving an 18-year-old individual named Naveen, who is suffering from blood cancer. It was stated that he was admitted at Basavatarakam Hospital but the doctors asked him to get discharged as his surgery doesn’t fall under Aarogya Sree and the family is financially unable to afford the treatment.

Various journalists and netizens have amplified the issue and it finally reached the CM’s office. Revanth swiftly responded in less than a day, assuring immediate government intervention to cover the surgery expenses and ensure the patient’s care at NIMS until recovery. He stated that he personally asked the NIMS doctors to take care of Naveen until his recovery.

Earlier, when the police vacated the social-media sensation Kumari Aunty’s food stall, Revanth reacted immediately and asked the officials to allow her to continue running the stall at the same location.

These actions prove that Revanth is following social media closely and is also helping people who are in need. This will not only help him to build an image on social media but also his party in the future, especially in attracting youngsters and urban voters.
