Jayalalithaa’s Close aide, Sasikala has finally managed to lay hands on the CM throne. It is now a formality that she will be swearing in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. But then things may turn ugly almost immediately for her.

Supreme Court is likely to deliver its final judgement on disproportionate assets case of Jayalalithaa in which Sasikala is one of the accused. On June 7, 2016, the Supreme Court had reserved its judgement. If Sasikala is convicted in this case, she may be disqualified.
Such a move will corner Sasikala politically. And this hurry to power will prove to be costly if she is convicted and had to go to the jail. Along with Sasikala are two of her other relatives who are also in the accused list in this case.
