Chandrababu Naidu has been around for many decades in politics, and he would have certainly seen many permutations and combinations. But there are certain things that Jagan did in his tenure as the CM that Chandrababu is unable to comprehend this day.
One of these implementations of Jagan is the super lavish palace on the Rushikonda hill in Vizag. This building was originally initiated as an AP tourism building, but it quickly transition to be a residential development project. Had Jagan won as CM again, he might’ve shifted here.
But anyway, that did not happen. And to this day, the NDA does not have a clue on how to deal with this luxurious construction that makes little financial sense.
The latest proposal made by the committee that was appointed by the government has effectively concluded that it is better to open this building for public use. With prestigious groups like Taj, interested in operating it, the government could well outsource it.
The previous AP tourism building that was present at this location before Jagan built this new building was apparently veneering significant income to the government. But whatever done was done, and the new government is having to deal with this fiscal irresponsibility.
If everything goes as planned this Rushikonda building could soon open doors to public and we shall see if it would make any more of a financial sense at least in the future.
