The YCP leaders, agents and even MLAs created a ruckus at various polling stations in Andhra Pradesh yesterday during the polling.
Reportedly, more than 120 violence cases were reported across various polling stations in the state the other day.
Now, a case has been filed against the cabinet minister and YCP’s MLA contestant from Dhone, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, for allegedly attacking the rival contestant.
During the polling yesterday, Buggana’s associates attacked independent contestant PN Babu’s vehicle. In his complaint, Babu stated that the accused individuals insulted his caste and damaged his vehicle with iron rods.
The police have registered the SC-ST atrocity case against Buggana, Dhone’s municipal chairman Chalam Reddy, local YCP leaders Nagarju, Nageshwara Rao and 30 others.
In another incident, one more SC-ST atrocity case was filed against Mydakuru MLA Raghurami Reddy. During the polling, Ragurami Reddy’s associates attacked TDP agents at the polling booth in Chinnaguluvaluru village of Chapadu Mandal.
As per the complaint filed by the victims, an FIR was registered against MLA Raghurami Reddy and 11 others.
