Setback For CM Jagan In The Margadarsi Case

Jagan Margadarsi CaseAs of the latest updates, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has stayed the Jagan government’s decision on the construction of houses in the R-5 Zone within the CRDA area. Regarding the Margadarshi case, the Supreme Court has rejected the petition filed by the AP government, stating that the Telangana High Court has jurisdiction to hear guide cases.

The Supreme Court ruled that the issue of jurisdiction should be decided by the High Court itself and further found that the transfer petitions filed by the AP government were time-barred. The Supreme Court has refused to interfere with the Telangana High Court’s interim order that prohibits any strict action against guide MD Sailaja Kiran.

Instead, the Supreme Court bench, comprising Justice JK Maheshwari and Justice KV Viswanathan, suggested that the case should be heard and decided on its merits. The Supreme Court has granted the Telangana High Court the liberty to hear the Margadarshi case based on its merits.

In the past, the High Court had already stayed the freezing of Margadarshi chits, and the AP government approached the Supreme Court to intervene. However, the Supreme Court once again declined to interfere with the High Court’s stay order.There is only four months left for Jagan to arrest Ramoji in the matter of Margadarsi.
