The arguments in Chandrababu Naidu’s Regular Bail have concluded in Andhra Pradesh High Court and the judgment is reserved. AAG Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy argued on the behalf of the CID.
As like in all such cases, Sudhakar Reddy argued that Chandrababu did not co-operate with the investigation and is trying to influence the witnesses.
One of the many such arguments is very interesting. Sudhakar Reddy mentioned that Siemens Former MD Suman Bose and Design Tech MD Vikas Khanvelkar spoke to the media about the case and the Pressmeets have hampered the investigation.
While we don’t know the High Court’s decision, this objection is outright silly, TDP supporters say.
“The same Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy and CID Chief kept Pressmeets from Amaravati to Hyderabad and Delhi speaking about the case. Even though it clearly amounts to contempt of the court. Also, there is a case running on those Pressmeets. Now Sudhakar Reddy is complaining about Pressmeets of Suman Bose and Vikas Khanvelkar,” they say.
Sudhakar Reddy, once again, mentioned that Chandrababu infringed the Interim Term Bail even though the High Court earlier clearly said the former CM did not violate.
Meanwhile, the High Court did not give a date on which they will pronounce the verdict on this Bail petition. Interestingly, the Supreme Court reserved verdict on Chandrababu’s Quash Petition ever since October 17th and the last update we have is the Apex Court saying it will deliver the judgment after Diwali vacation.
