Actor Srihari always harboured political ambitions towards the end of his life. He eyed a seat in Congress and then supported PRP but nothing worked in his favour. On his last Birthday (August 15, 2013), he announced that he will be contesting Kukatpally seat in the upcoming elections. There were rumours that he will be joining Congress and contest Kukatpally. But finally he gave up to death and breathed his last on October 9th, 2013.
And now his wife, Shanti is planning to enter Politics to fulfill her husband’s dream. She is planning to contest from Kukatpally. She is so adamant to contest that she is also ready to contest as Independent in case she is not offered ticket by an party. Srihari when alive did lot of social service on the name of Akshaya Foundation. He even adopted four villages near Medchal and taking care of their needs.
