Judgement On CBN’s Quash Petition Finally?

Supreme-Court-Chandrababu-Case

Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is out on an interim bail granted by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The bail is valid until the 26th of this month unless extended.

Chandrababu Naidu’s Quash petition in the Supreme Court has been pending for a long time.

The arguments were completed in the case and the Bench of Justice Aniruddha Bose and Justice Bela M Trivedi reserved the orders since October 17th.

The Bench did not give any date on the matter until now.

Sources say that the matter was supposed to be listed today but it did not happen since both the judges who heard the matter are on different benches.

They are coming together on Wednesday (tomorrow) and the judgment on the Quash petition is likely tomorrow.

The Supreme Court will hear the Bail Petition in the Fiber Grid case on the 9th and there are chances that the Quash Petition will be decided before that.

But then, at this moment, all these are speculations. We will get the exact picture only when the cause list is decided in the evening.

If at all, the quash petition goes in favor of Chandrababu, all the cases registered on Naidu will have to go since Section 17A will be applicable and all these cases will become null and void without the approval of the Governor.

YSR Congress camp is hoping that the Supreme Court will not decide on the issue and will hold their judgment until the Constitutional Bench hears Prashant Bhushan who already filed a PIL on Section 17A.
