Sajjala Bhargav Reddy

YCP Social Media’s former convenor Sajjala Bhargav Reddy, son of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, faced a setback in the Supreme Court as his petition challenging the cases filed against him was dismissed.

The Supreme Court magistrate declined to accept his petition and asked him to approach the High Court if he has any grievances in this case.

While senior lawyer Kapil Sibal argued on behalf of Bhargav Reddy, Siddharth Luthra represented the AP government. Kapil Sibal argued that cases are being filed on old issues using new rules. On the other side, Siddharth Luthra countered that regardless of when the rules were made, derogatory comments made against women should be taken seriously.

Siddharth also stated that Bhargav is the main person behind the social media cell of YCP, which posted multiple derogatory comments and offensive posts against rival party leaders and their families. He added that Bhargav Reddy is not cooperating with the investigation as well and is concealing many issues before the Supreme Court.
