Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy received a huge relief in the Supreme Court in the “vote for note” case. The Supreme Court denied transferring the case to another court, as requested by BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy.
In his petition, Jagadish Reddy requested the Supreme Court to transfer the case’s investigation from Telangana High Court to the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Supreme Court bench, featuring Justice BR Gavai and Justice KV Viswanath heard the case today and dismissed the petition.

The Supreme Court opined that the petition was filed with mere assumptions and without any pieces of evidence. It further stated that the trial court should conduct a transparent investigation into the case and added that it would not intervene while the investigation is ongoing in the trial court.
During the hearing, the Supreme Court also gave serious feedback to Revanth Reddy regarding his recent comments against the court regarding the BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s bail.

It stated, “One should be careful while making comments about orders of the Supreme Court, even though fair criticism is welcome. We caution that all Constitutional functionaries must perform their constitutional duties within their respective wings.”
