The condemnation of the illegal arrest of TDP President Chandrababu Naidu is spreading like wildfire. People across various regions have expressed their disapproval of his detention in various ways. In many places, there have been protests against this unlawful arrest.
Adding to the growing dissent, Bhuvaneswari, the wife of CBN, has been on a tour under the banner of “Nijam Gelavaali,” which has garnered significant sympathy for the TDP and the Naidu family.
Nara Bhuvaneshwari, the daughter of NTR and wife of Chandrababu, who had hitherto refrained from active politics, achieved success on her first political tour. She commenced her journey in the Tirupati district, visiting the families of activists who passed away due to stress related to her husband’s arrest. She also aimed to raise awareness among women about the unjust legal cases against her husband.
Unable to accept Chandrababu’s arrest, many activists in the district visited the families of the deceased, which left a strong impression on rural communities. If we examine the backgrounds of these deceased individuals, they were mostly ordinary activists.
Bhuvaneswari’s visits to their homes, displaying her solidarity with CBN, sparked a movement in the villages of the region, particularly resonating with rural women. Even during the challenging period when her husband was incarcerated, she visited their villages and provided financial assistance to the families of the deceased.
The promise to support children’s education through the NTR Trust left a favorable impression on rural people. Meetings conducted with women under the banner of “winning the truth” in various constituencies have also bolstered the party’s popularity.
Women have been actively attending meetings in Chandragiri, Tirupati, and Srikalahasti, where Bhuvaneswari’s speeches have been well-received. Her modest and cultured demeanor during her tours has cultivated a positive image for the party.
Notably, women have expressed their support and reassurance to Bhuvaneswari, assuring her that there is no need for fear, and Chandrababu will prove his innocence, resolve the cases, and lead the Telugu Desam government to victory. Her return from the district with such encouraging responses from women has created a sense of accomplishment and excitement within the TDP ranks.
