Temperatures are soaring in Andhra Pradesh more because of the elections than the Summer. Political Parties have unleashed a relentless campaign with elections just two weeks to go. All eyes are on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to see if he can get a Second Term convincing the people.
Telugu Desam Party for the first time in its history is going alone in an election. A feat which the party did not do even during the NTR time. All the political parties in the State – YSR Congress, Janasena, BJP, Congress, Communist Parties and even KA Paul’s Praja Shanthi Party is attacking Chandrababu big time.
It will be nothing less than a heroic act if Naidu manages a second term. For some reason, the Senior Fans and the of the Cycle Party look Supremely confident this time. There is no visible anxiety in them which we used to see during the 2014 elections. Unlike his previous terms, Naidu this time ensured that his tenure satisfied all walks of the people. The way he steered the state with a mix of development and welfare even with a deficit Budget has been amazing. He ensured that there are schemes targeting every community, there is 24×7 Power, special attention to irrigation projects and also brought some major industries like Kia etc. Uttarandhra people could not forget how he handled calamities like Titli and Hudhud while Rayalaseema people have seen Industries and water coming, a dream which is not possible even in dream until Naidu came to Power.
Even at one point when many leaders left the party, they looked cool saying that this is an election happening on Chandrababu’s name and the leaders or the candidates in the fray do not matter much. Come the April 11th, we will get to know if that is confidence or if they just pinned wrong hopes. Till then, Enjoy the Great Indian Political Tamasha..!!
