Telangana continues to be in the Poll Mood. Even before the dust around the Assembly Elections is settled down, Telangana State Election Commission had announced the schedule for the Panchayat elections in the state. The Polling will be held in three phases on January 21st, 25th, and 30th.

Voters in 12732 Gram Panchayats and 1,13,170 wards will exercise their franchise to elect their local leaders. Usually, Local Body Elections will be in favour of the Ruling Parties. As TRS just made a comeback to Power with a Sensational Mandate, this election is going to be walk-over for the Pink Party.
After this elections, the plan is to have Municipal Elections and co-operative elections at the earliest. KCR wants to complete these elections and emerge victorious before the Lok Sabha Elections which will ensure that TRS will win 16 MP seats along with One Seat to MIM (Hyderabad).
The Opposition is in a shock with the recent debacle in the Assembly Elections. KCR wants to finish these elections even before they recover. If everything happens to the plan, it will be TRS all over from the micro-roots level to the Top. Some of the parties in the opposition could not even put up candidates in this election.
