The Secretariat in Telangana is slowly but surely losing its glory as the Chief Minister KCR is totally evading it and is working from the Pragathi Bhavan, the residence-cum-camp office of the Chief Minister. Even the cabinet meetings are being held here.

Even the ministers are also rarely seen at the secretariat as most of them are busy in their districts and constituencies. Many even conduct review meetings with officials at their residence in the city.Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Nayini Narasimha Reddy, and Mohd. Mahmood Ali are the most regular visitors to the Secretariat.
Some ministers are seen in the Secretariat whenever a Cabinet sub-committee. Visitors are also rarely coming to the Secretariat these days. KCR is evading Secretariat due to Vaastu defects and now even have the plans of constructing a new one.
Very soon, the Old Secretariat which served for decades will go into the history books. KCR is planning the new Secretariat cum Assembly at Bison Polo Grounds and a part of Gymkhana Grounds in Secunderabad. They will be completely Vaastu Compliant and have Telangana mark on them.
