Telangana polls are literally hours from now – 30 November and the stakes are increasing with every passing hour. With the polling fast approaching, the leading parties are enforcing last gasp attempts to attract the voters in their constituencies.
Coming to the topic, the latest reports are suggesting that a constituency in the outskirts of Hyderabad is seeing one of the highest cash flows in all of Telangana.
A leader party MLA candidate is reportedly spending Rs 5K per vote in this constituency, which should be unnamed for obvious reasons. The MLA candidate has set out to spend Rs 5K per vote on nearly 1 lakh voters in the constituency.
A full-fledged team belonging to the candidate has been deployed for electioneering here. They are taking care of cash distribution and liquor distribution it seems.
This candidate is sponsoring the travel allowances for the voters who are in other cities. He will cover the to and fro costs of the voters who are coming in from other cities for polling.
Also, in many parts of Telangana, the candidates are spending in the range of Rs 5 – 6 crores per day just on liquor. The liquor distribution has begun on the 26th of this month and it will go on till 30 November, the day of the polling, it seems.
