Telangana is set to go to elections in a few months from now and the election fever is slowly but surely catching up in the state.
The latest updates are suggesting that BRS chief KCR is planning to announce the list of 80-87 MLA candidates for the coming election very soon.
The announcement from KCR could be out on 12, 13, or 17th of August, say the latest reports. It is also reported that almost all of the 87 candidates will be sitting MLAs. KCR already announced that he will give MLA tickets to all the sitting MLAs and he appears to be walking the talk now.
On a related note, it is also heard that Congress could also be announcing its first list of MLA candidates by the end of this month.
Reportedly, Congress could be announcing 35 of the total 119 MLA candidates by the end of this month. This will follow the announcement from the ruling party BRS.
The idea behind these early announcements could be to prepare the local leaderships for the election with the MLA candidate announced much in advance. At this rate, it shouldn’t be long before BJP too announces its first list of MLA candidates.
