Telangana had registered a superb growth in its incomes. The state had registered a whopping 7687 Crore income from Tax and non-Tax incomes in the first two months of 2016-17. When compared to the same period last year, there is an increase of 1656 Crore this time. This is double the usual growth rate.

If this pace is maintained, the state is likely to register 11,500 Crore additional income when compared to the last year. The state government claims that this growth rate is not achievable by any state in the country and will be very handy for it to realise the dream of Golden Telangana as soon as possible.
Stamps and Registrations department registered 64% growth while Excise department registered 120% growth. Luxury Tax improved by 36% while collections from VAT increased by 17%. Needless to say, the Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao is super happy with the progress being made by the various departments.
