Rani Munugula, 49, came to the U.S. to visit her daughter Priyanka who is working in the U.S. This was Rani’s first visit to the U.S., and their family had planned a trip to Las Vegas, NV, for the New Year party. However, as the happy family was on its way, their car met with an accident near Mountain Pass, CA.
Subsequently, Rani suffered major injuries, and she was immediately taken to Sunshine Hospital & Medical Centre in Las Vegas. Once the required checks were done, the doctors informed the family that she had suffered significant injuries to her spine. Luckily, the rest of the family sustained small injuries.
As for Rani, she sustained multiple fractures to her spine, fracture to multiple fingers on her left toe, and open wounds. She will need surgery to fix the spine, and post-surgery, she will need 6-8 weeks to regain basic mobility.
Rani is said to be a kind-hearted person who loves to feed people. Their near and dear are raising funds to help her daughter financially as she is the sole breadwinner of the family. As of now, $6830 has been collected against a goal of $200,000.
