No Need For DCM, What’s The Plan?

Thalapathy Vijay government strategy

It is a common practice in Indian politics to have multiple deputy chief ministers in order to pacify the internal conflict that comes up during the nomination of the chief minister.

In the case of previous chief minister, YS Jagan he had five deputy CMs and that’s a reflection of his method of operations.

But the situation is completely opposite in the case of Tamil Nadu chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay, who is employing a very strong new strategy in his state.

Despite having formed the government in Tamil Nadu with support from multiple political parties, Vijay did not resort to the usual practice of having deputy chief ministers from alliance parties. Instead, he pacified the situation by giving them other cabinet positions.

In Andhra Pradesh, we have a strong dependency on the incumbent deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and he’s doing a dynamic job at it. But the scenario is almost entirely different in the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu.

This is perhaps a strong attempt for Vijay to run a strong and stable government in the state without diversion of power or political interference.
